Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 12 years.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Elven companion (his 'brother'). He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Half-Elven artifacts is his passion; and to be a miner again
