History: Born in the south to a Spice Merchant, Paelias learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother.

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: She was born into a rich family. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life; and she's looking for her big break

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
