Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Apothecary arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
