History: Hûmgrat lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and doesn't want to be a roofer and was forced into it by his family

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Knight. She struck the Knight job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and she made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When Vani reached her early adolescence her Halfling mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
