History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Qualen grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Qualen. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Junk Dealer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Junk Dealer work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born in the west to a Weaver, Antrara learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 4 years.
