Description: His left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His blonde hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in the south to a Map Maker, Yevelda learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She dropped out of school to support her sick father, and resented it. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Stylist they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Map Maker, and she later adopted a second son.
