History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Zephan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Grumbar's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Doctor work with an outfit from a few towns over. Doctor work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 9 years.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Harbek lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gifted student he started as a Herbalist, but he got bored and became a Ruler. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Ruler for the past few years.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

Personality: She acts crazy and hedonistic. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Brewer but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and she has decided she is irredeemable
