However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to her current location. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
