History: Birel hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A freak accident while working with her Herbalist mother left her crippled. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
