Therai was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Theren hails from a village terrorized by orcs. When Theren reached his early adolescence his Elf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, she's a very lovable idiot. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 3 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Abalaba never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and wants to work out more often

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Interpreter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Interpreter work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
