History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Mercenary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mercenary work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mercenary.

History: Born to a Carter, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Serpent was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Serpent's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now owns his own business.
