History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Gurdis never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She is a bit of a macho woman and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
