Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His auburn hair is thinning but still full. His eyes are brown and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized brown coat. Her brown hair is braided into rings. She wears a mask on her face.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. When triggered she is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and seeks redemption

Description: A 3'1" western woman, she prefers to wear tan clothing when she does not wear armor. She has slicked back auburn hair. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: She has two modes she varies between. On the job she is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job she is a party animal. She works hard and plays hard.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Miner for hire.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Voice: Speaks with squeezed throat

Description: This man wears long strands of jet and short yellow dresses (or suits) accompanied by the proper stockings and shoes, with gloves of varying lengths. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. His hair is cut close to his head. He has a dull look in his violet eyes.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends.
