Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around his neck, and a greatsword on his belt. He keeps his silver hair in a pixie cut. His white eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Balam's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

His eyes are red and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Patrin was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Patrin's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: She hates brigands. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She struck the Weaver job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and to be a miller again
