History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Roland liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and to reunite with his old friends

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. She tends to her Dilettante job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: To be a Spice Merchant again; and she feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and wants to work out more often
