Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Bookbinder profession.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is a Soapmaker first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Sorath lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She tends to her Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
