Alston's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Alston and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.
