History: Spear lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature crossbow.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered painting. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by drow. Veloptima was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the drow.
