History: Alex was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Adventurer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Alex was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: Born in the east to a Locksmith, Keyleth learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Locksmith responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She got into the Spice Merchant business at a young age. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and to get a good night's sleep

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
