History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Medrash was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Medrash never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered south to less war torn lands. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
