History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and many brigands want him driven away

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He found a children's book about a Half-Elf Aristocrat who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 3 years.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: She was born in the north. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Knight. She now owns her own business.
