History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: Gifted from a young age, Adelard studied abroad. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son.
