History: She comes from a rich northern family. Valida was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Valida decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Born in the north to a Spy, Howard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

History: Balifra lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While she appears to be a normal Dwarf, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Junk Dealer they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Tanner, and she later adopted a second daughter.
