History: The child of a Ruler, who enjoyed hunting, Alain was taken on many hunting expeditions. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Alain alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

History: Skirt was born the youngest of three triplets. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She tends to her Guard job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and balancing her hectic life and new guard responsibilities is difficult
