History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with painting. She constantly tries to fill her life with painting. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered painting. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature glaive.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and retire the richest woman in the west
