He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Borun took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up longsword and armor he uses now. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Dilettante they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Butcher, and he later adopted a second son.

To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Elama. She guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
