History: Elama hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Through the years after Kite was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Kite's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She now spends her time doing works of charity.
