History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Rose's homeland. Rose decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Brottor was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He tends to his Mason job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Mason and was forced into it by his family; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Volen lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: To unite with her sister; and to get a good night's sleep
