Torbera grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Torbera. History: Gorbundus hails from a village terrorized by illithids. When Gorbundus reached his early adolescence his Dragonborn mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Gorbundus was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.
