During her travels, Kasdeya and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Kasdeya discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Kasdeya fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Adrik alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: She got into the Gardener business at a young age. A gifted student she started as a Shepherd, but she got bored and became a Gardener. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Vaina was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.
