History: Miles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Layabout arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner.
