History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Cook. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and balancing his hectic life and new cook responsibilities is difficult

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered poetry. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. Her parents enrolled her in a Wizard school at a young age so that she could practice her necromantic talents. She's also a talented Interpreter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
