Heartbroken, Gerard never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Lewis lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ulla embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Ulla was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Barkeep for the past few years.

Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Gifted from a young age, Meriele studied abroad. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She now mingles about in high society.
