History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When Roger reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and wants to raise his children well

History: Gifted from a young age, Merla studied abroad. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.
