Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Gnomes.

History: Born to a Animal Trainer, her father struggled to pay the bills. After coming to the age of reason, Ranala took it upon herself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Ernest speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He takes great joy in being the best Shepherd in town.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of goblins; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tiefling companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
