Description: 6'3" and muscular, this southern man is wearing a long, brown cloak. His lavender fur has been sun bleached extensively. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.
Personality: He is happy with his job as a Guard. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.
History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His childhood dream was to be a Scribe, but he was a colossal failure. He tends to his Guard job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and to share knowledge with the world

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his hammer with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. He has wavy red hair. His gray eyes are slightly larger than normal.
Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Shoemaker born in the past three hundred years. He works hard and plays hard.
History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Description: Her skin has the orange glow of too much sun. She wears suspenders and white workpants. Her shirt is black, and she wears a heavy white leather apron most of the time. Her blonde hair is thinning but still full. She has several tiny emerald earrings on each ear.
Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes goblins are coming to abduct people. Euphemia is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.
History: She was born into a rich family. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Euphemia fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and doesn't want to be a cartwright and was forced into it by her family

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he wears a suit in poor condition. It has not been laundered in sometime and has been worn in activities one would not normally wear a suit during. He sports a flattop hair cut. He wears large thick round spectacles.
Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.
History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. During his travels, Sammal and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Sammal discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Sammal fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
