History: He was born in a small desert village. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Carter. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Carter for the past few years.

History: Born in the north to a Detective, Kristryd learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son; and balancing her hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. A true patriot, Ar-Baruk would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Cartwright father left him crippled. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: To be a Cartwright again; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
