History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: Dark and lean, she is a relatively plain woman. She wears suspenders and white workpants. Her shirt is green, and she wears a heavy white leather apron most of the time. Her hair is short and silver. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep brown.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Gifted from a young age, Vani studied abroad. In her 16th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. Some 4 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Vani never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of giants may trigger it at times.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At some point he was captured by giants and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many giants want him driven away
