History: Bernard was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Being a Soapmaker kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
