History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 13 years.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Althaea was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Althaea liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
