History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Beleth grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Beleth. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Valida was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
