History: Jarsali lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Marshal. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Marshal for the past few years.

Personality: Valanthe hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has never given up on her writing dream.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Mercenary but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Ribbles was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He's also a talented Dilettante, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Many orcs want him driven away; and balancing his hectic life and new mercenary responsibilities is difficult

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. Her job bores her to no end. She has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Whurdred was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her first spouse was a Adventurer, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and obtaining odd cultural elven artifacts is her passion
