History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal.

History: Gifted from a young age, Gadreel studied abroad. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gadreel grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gadreel. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.
