History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. Now she works as a writing tutor during her time off.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it; and a deep hatred of gnolls
