History: Chay was born the youngest of three triplets. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Akmen grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Akmen. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
