History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Thorin was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Thorin abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Merla grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: He wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a black coat, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'5" when asserting himself. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy blonde hair. His green eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Gruk took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up bow and armor he uses now. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
