To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mumpena. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying sister.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Soapmaker arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: The child of a Doctor, who enjoyed hunting, Arnold was taken on many hunting expeditions. When Arnold reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
