His skin is fair and his fingers are delicate and long. His red hair and beard is wavy and long. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, John and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To end his boredom.

Personality: He is a Tanner first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: Lone lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He found several beat up suits of armor and, cannibalizing spare parts, he put together a working one.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She's also a talented Engraver, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Butcher responsibilities is difficult.
