Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Gnomes in Broce's homeland. Broce decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and revenge

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. She has dedicated herself to building a better trade route.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and she's looking for her big break
