Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Born to a Sculptor, his father struggled to pay the bills. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered dire rats who tried to eat his hand. He tends to his Stylist job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Pikar grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Detective for the past few years.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and seeks redemption
